End of a Season & New Beginnings

Last Saturday marked the end of the Estacada Farmers Market's 2015 Season. While it will be nice to have Saturdays as my own again, I will miss seeing my local regular customers and market friends every week. The 2015 season marked a new home and location for the farmers market at Wade Creek House. It was a scary change, but a much needed one to revitalize and help us grow as a market. It was/is wonderful to feel welcome and supported at our market home. For that we owe thanks to Bill & Becky McFarland for going above and beyond to make for an easy transition and to offer help and support whenever it was needed. Can't wait to see what the 2016 season will bring!

The month of September brought about some new beginnings for Namaste Girl, Inc. itself. We have started selling our wares via the Bon Appetit Management Company every Tuesday and Thursday at the various Intel Campus/Building Cafe's in Hillsboro and Aloha. It means a lot of work on my end, as the artisan/crafter and as the face of Namaste. But, it has proven to be such a blessing! Not only in selling product to help support our rescue critters and other causes, but also in getting our name and message out to a wider audience and customer base. It allows us the opportunity to change more of those lives, breaths, and minds, which can slowly bring about change in the world, as a whole. Blessings abound! For our schedule of where & when we will be vending, check out the Event Section on our Facebook Page

In November, Namaste Girl will be vending at the Portland VegFest, which we are super excited about. Portland VegFest is a 2-day event celebrating plant-based living, with free food samples, health and nutrition speakers, chef demonstrations, Fashion & Beauty Stage presentations, Fitness Stage workouts, restaurants, films, and activities for kids and teens. There's something for everyone! For more info, check out their website: Portland VegFest 2015.

With today being my first Saturday off in a few months, I'm going to make use of the day and have a little fun. Possibly time in the garden, probably critter cuddles, maybe even some just because baking or creating. We'll have to see what the day brings!

Peace, Love, and Namaste,
